Professional Feedback for Your Music

Track Feedback

Jan Hanák - Sonority - Music Production Mentor & Electronic Artist

Losing perspective after hours in the studio? Not sure if the track works or how to finally finish it?

Let me lend you my ears and 20 years of experience.
I will identify the weak spots and give you a concrete plan to get your track to an industry-standard level.

Who Is This For?

Stuck in the Loop

Can't turn a great loop into a full track? Your hard drive is full of sketches, but you lack the clear plan and motivation to actually finish them.

Loss of Perspective

Heard your track a thousand times and don't know if it works? It sounds good at home, but the mix falls apart in the car or the club. You need a reality check from a pro studio.

Silence from Labels

Record labels are not replying to your demos. You need to know exactly why and what needs to change.

Missing the "X Factor"

Technically, the mix is clean, but it lacks the emotion, energy, and character required to make it a standout track.

What You Will Get

Power of First Impression

The reaction of fresh, unbiased ears—exactly the perspective a label or a future fan will have.

Holistic Approach

I evaluate the track as a whole: melody, vibe, vocals, arrangement... It needs to work both technically and emotionally.

Technical Precision

Analysis done in a professional studio. I will uncover mix and mastering issues that are invisible in a home environment.

Timestamped Feedback

A report with notes linked to specific minutes and seconds. You will see exactly where the problem is and what to adjust.

Clear Action Plan

Instead of vague impressions, you get a list of concrete steps to finish the track. Save yourself weeks of trial and error.

            What Producers Say

            Ginkgo Lanugo

"Sonority’s personal approach to mentoring helped push our production to a win in the Radio 1 chart 'Velká sedma'. He pinpointed the exact technical and artistic flaws in our music. When a producer reaches a certain level, progress gets hard – that’s exactly when Sonority steps in."

"Thanks to his background, he has a perfect grasp of music theory. His experience across various styles is crucial for us as a multi-genre project. Honza is one of the first to hear our ideas, and his insights make the path to actually finishing a track much easier."

            Daniel Neighbour

"It helps me a lot to send my premaster to someone who hears it for the first time and isn’t emotionally attached to the track like I am after dozens of hours of work."

"The feedback is clear, specific, and usually pinpoints exactly the areas that could be refined further. It’s a kind of reality check from a professional who knows what to focus on."

            Cubik

"Over the years of my music production, I’ve had many experiences with mixing and mastering my tracks by various engineers and producers with mastering skills. Sonority’s approach suits me the most. Not only is the result of his work top-tier at a reasonable price, but his personal approach is a huge bonus."

"He thinks about the track as if he had composed it himself, identifies weak points, discusses them, and proposes solutions. In the end, he puts his mix insights down on paper as concrete suggestions for improving the production of future tracks. With his passion for making music, Sonority will definitely help you move forward."

            Nami & The Dancing Wind

"Sonority is a trained musician and audio specialist. I know that whenever he gives feedback on my work, it’s pinpoint accurate and detail-oriented. A quality that’s incredibly valuable given the millions of details in music production."

"His sound has real bite: the kick is punchy, the low end is deep, the highs shimmer, and the mids are warm and full. Dance music producers, take note: His mixes hold their own against top-tier global productions, and DJs won't hesitate to drop them in their sets."

            Act of Mood

"Our project has been active for several years, yet we are still learning new techniques. Sonority’s personal approach and feedback helped push our music to the next level. Honza not only gave us clear, simple advice on exactly what we needed, but also handled the Mix & Master, giving our track a pro sound."

"We consulted on vocal and bass adjustments before the mix to maximize their potential. Afterward, he gave us tips on how to get a better sound next time. Now, his feedback is essential to our creative process."

            J LOCK

"From my point of view, Honza’s perspective on a track is mainly pragmatic, which is exactly what I need for an objective assessment and, ultimately, for finishing it."

"Since my own perspective is mostly emotional, this helps me a lot, and I have to say that Sonority’s analysis always proves right and has consistently helped me get closer to completing the track."

            Digital Illusion

"Working with Sonority has been a huge long-term benefit for me. I especially appreciate the professionalism, openness, and attention to detail. It’s not just about the mixing and mastering itself, but mainly about the consultations even before the final exports from Ableton - these always help me push the track in the right direction during the production stage."

"He can explain very clearly what works in the track and where there is room for improvement, without interfering with the music’s core identity. Thanks to his feedback, I’m confident that the final version sounds balanced, professional, and holds up well even on large sound systems. It’s clear that he approaches music with respect and a genuine interest in the result, not just as a technical job."

            Pavel Holeček

"Working with Honza is an investment that truly pays off. I needed feedback on every aspect of my track: arrangement, mix, master, content, flow, the vibe... My main goal was a creative consultation—to see if the track holds up in the context of 2024."

"I heard both the strong points and the weak spots, and that honest feedback helped me move forward. After listening to your own track a thousand times, it’s refreshing to get a perspective from someone who is clearly an expert in electronic production, but above all, just a great guy."

            Josy Mong

"I connected with Sonority through Roman Rai. Honza is a true professional who helps with both composition and sound. He will tell you straight up if a track has potential and energy, or exactly what needs fixing. He is a totally chill guy who puts his heart into this—he genuinely wants to share his experience and teach you."

"I love the vibe in his studio. He taught me new techniques in Ableton Live and even how to handle record labels once the music is finished. I always look forward to our sessions because they keep pushing my production further."

            DJ N.e.d

"As an electronic producer, I needed an objective pair of ears to show me exactly where I could improve. These days, you can't make it without feedback from someone who really knows their stuff. Sonority showed me how to tighten the mix, refine the arrangement, and give my sounds some real drive."

"He has a lot of experience and genuinely wants to help—no fluff, just concrete tips that actually make sense. If you are tired of spinning your wheels and really want to level up your skills, I definitely recommend him."

            FEEDBACK SAMPLES

            Real excerpts from my reports:

"The track sounds pleasant, but it lacks a climax. Right now, it’s just a statement—a prince walking in a sunny meadow, feeling good. But to engage the audience, a dragon needs to show up for the prince to defeat.
If you want music without a plot twist (no dragon), the atmosphere must be absolutely stunning to carry the track on its own."

"It still feels a bit cautious—like a puppy. You need to wake up the tiger inside. Right now, your music is asking, 'May I please have your attention?'
It needs to demand it with bold confidence. The listener wants to strap into a rollercoaster—feeling that anticipation as they slowly climb the hill, knowing the drop is coming."

"The vocal jumps out too abruptly. Try inserting a sample of a real breath or a Reverse Reverb (print the reverb at 100% wet, reverse the audio clip, and place it right before the vocal starts).
This gives the listener a subconscious cue that the vocal is coming, avoiding the shock."

"The kick and bass are hitting the same frequencies at the same time, causing mud and eating up headroom.
Cut the bass below 30 Hz, clear space for the kick using sidechain compression, and shorten the 'boom' (decay) of the kick sample.
This will clean up the mix, allowing us to push the loudness in mastering without distortion."

"You are trying to cram too much in. The listener's brain cannot process so many lead elements at once.
You have three melodies, an arp, vocals, and heavy percussion all fighting for attention. Pick the hero element—in this case, the vocal—and push the rest to the background or mute them for this section.
The track will gain space and breathe, making individual sounds stand out more."

"Musically, it’s great, but the melody is too 'pop' for this genre. It needs to sound more mysterious and less 'cheesy.'
If you are targeting labels like Anjunadeep or Afterlife, you need a proper Extended Mix with a longer DJ intro (at least 32 bars) and a slower buildup.
The current version works as a Radio Edit, but a DJ would struggle to mix it in a club."
